Let’s meet up, network and hear about LEDgoes and its successful Kickstarter campaign.  This will be a great opportunity for anyone in the funding stage of a project to learn about crowd funding or for anyone just curious to get an inside look at the crowd funding process from a successful project RIGHT HERE IN DALLAS!

LEDgoes is a modular LED sign marquee that is controlled by software to display text or animations to display a message up to 12 feet long simply by snapping together each LED panel.  You can stack rows to show taller letters or larger animations.  Its simple yet powerful open-source hardware design controllable over USB or Bluetooth (and WiFi in the future) allows users to program the matrix using open-source software without the need to write a single line of code or spend hours writing messages.  LEDgoes is designed & manufactured in Dallas and is led by Stephan and Stacy Wylie.

Stephen Wylie is a computer engineer.  He has released several apps for Android, Windows Phone, and Blackberry, and enjoys developing concepts that leverage real hardware, algorithms, and/or government open data to make apps & mashups that truly solve problems.

Stacy Wylie is also a computer engineer experienced in complete end-to-end Android development from kernel up to the application space.  She is opinionated on all aspects of design, from implementation to manufacturing & even marketing.  Her desire to have nice audio equipment on a shoestring budget ushered her into hardware design at an early age, and she made a business out of it to pay bills in college.  To complement her real-world experience, she obtained a Six Sigma green belt.

Networking starts at 5:30pm and the main presentation will be at 7pm followed by Q&A with your guest. Pizza and drinks are provided by Improving Enterprises, our host.

Please promote the meeting to friends and colleagues who might be interested in the topic or want to meet other like minded people.

If you have any specific topics you want covered by the speakers, please email us and we’ll try and get them in. We look forward to seeing you soon!
