FIRST REVEAL: Neighborhood Goods

If you didn’t snag an invite to last night’s private launch of Neighborhood Goods, we’ve got you covered as the Dallas-based startup prepares for its official grand opening this Saturday. We’re sharing some of our favorite shots of North Texas’ latest (and hottest) retail destination and a few pics from the big bash last night.

A Department Store With A Story

Through an ever-changing landscape of cult-style brands, products, and concepts, in addition to an in-store restaurant, daily event programming, and an editorially driven e-commerce platform, Neighborhood Goods, which is prominently located at Legacy West in Plano, aims to foster a new culture around shopping and the experiences associated with it. Founded by Matt Alexander and Mark Masinter, the Dallas startup is kicking off with 22 brands (including tennis champ Serena Williams’ new athleisure line) and is on a very stylish mission to disrupt the traditional department store as we know it by offering a vibrant space for building a community through social discovery.

With nearly $6 million in funding (led by Forerunner Ventures who also invested in NG featured brands Draper James, Stadium Goods and hims) Neighborhood Goods is also slated to host a national launch party for a new men’s fragrance from Dollar Shave Club. Dollar Shave Club’s founder Michael Dubin is one of the store’s investors.

The store officially opens on Saturday, November 17th. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Can’t make it to the grand opening? Check out the space through our lens. Photography by Chris Alvarado.
