New Organization For Texas Female CEOs Emerges

Brazen, a membership organization for women entrepreneurs, has officially launched today in six cities nationwide and is on a mission to unlock the tremendous potential in “growth-seeking” women business owners; a powerful segment underserved by an existing entrepreneurship support and venture capital industry limited by its singular attention to “high growth.” Brazen provides business-focused programs to a national member network of growth-seeking female presidents, founders and CEOs. Dallas and Fort Worth were selected as part of the inaugural expansion.

Jasmin Brand

Jasmin Brand has been named acting director for Brazen Dallas/Fort Worth and will be responsible for leading programming, operations and collaboration with the DFW entrepreneurial community. Over the last decade, Jasmin has started several successful businesses and currently serves as CEO of Launch DFW, a Texas-based digital media company on a mission to inspire and support the future of tech and business innovation in the region.

“Dallas/Fort Worth provides tremendous resources and opportunities when it comes to starting a business, but there is still much more that could be done to support the region’s female entrepreneurs,” said Jasmin Brand. “Brazen offers up an innovative, business first approach to helping woman-owned businesses in Texas thrive and succeed.”

In Texas, 91.4% of women-owned firms have no employee other than the owner [i]. If every woman-owned business in Texas added one employee, they would create more than 938,000 jobs in the state [ii]. Female entrepreneurs represent an incredible economic opportunity for Dallas – Fort Worth that Brazen hopes to unlock with its expansion.

Brazen offers evidence-based membership programs to anyone who identifies as female and “growth-seeking,” including:

  • Growth Groups: Brazen’s flagship program are peer advisory groups of seven to nine female entrepreneurs that meet monthly to present their greatest business challenges and work through solutions.
  • Power Hours: Brazen Members can schedule an appointment with a legal, accounting, marketing or IT/tech expert every month.
  • Member Events and Roundtables: These monthly events bring together sister CEOs to learn more about business growth strategies and get inspired.

Brazen DFW will give prospective Members the opportunity to experience its programs for free at two launch events. The evening’s program will include a chance to connect with other local women entrepreneurs as well as community partners and volunteers. Event details:
