Denton’s Opening Date for Stoke has Been Released

Economic Development Division for the City of Denton, in conjunction with the Dallas Entrepreneur Center (DEC), has announced that Stoke, a new 9,216 square foot co-working space and entrepreneur center, will be opening on August 1st.

“Many people have worked hard on this project over the last few years,” said Aimee Bissett, Director of Development Services for the City of Denton. “We’re all very excited to open the doors on this terrific asset.”

The DEC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and co-working space located in Dallas that seeks to bring together the resources, support, and opportunities for local entrepreneurs. They connect all types of workers, investors, and educators to advance various economic interests.

“We are excited to open our doors to the public on Aug. 1 and begin to serve the very active and growing entrepreneurial community in Denton,” said Trey Bowles, co-founder and CEO of the DEC. “The people of Denton have already built a great community for startups and entrepreneurs, and we believe that Stoke will be another great resource and powerful central location to help the entrepreneurs in this region be successful.”

Stoke has also been a project of CoDenton. CoDenton is a community-based initiative with a focus on developing businesses and technological innovations in the city of Denton.

Stoke will be located in the Railyard at 608 E. Hickory Street in Suite. 128. The new space will provide local startups, entrepreneurs, and remote workers with an office space where they can collaborate on business ideas and receive entrepreneurship mentorship. There will be offices, conference rooms, a lounge, stage, and a full kitchen. The space will also include an ultra-fast gigabit fiber internet connection.  (Also, check out their fantastic promo!)

The new location is close to the Euline Brock Downton Denton Transit Center, which is a multi-modal center, providing bus and train connections.  It’s also close to Denton’s Downtown Square, which has a myriad of shopping, restaurants, and art galleries.
