07 Jul The Mix Offers Ideal Creative Spaces for Dallas Start-ups and Working Parents
Inspired by The Grove‘s unique co-working community, The Mix Coworking and Creative Space is providing a new neighborhood space for people who are passionate about their work and their world to connect and create.
Located in the basement level of the historic White Rock United Methodist Church in Dallas, The Mix offers membership plans for everything from part-time, to dedicated space for people to meet, connect, create, work, and grow.
Membership costs range from $75-$375 a month with nominal application and optional locked storage fees. Benefits include provided drinks and snacks, 45Mbps wi-fi, a variety of work-spaces and creative spaces. These include a designated quiet zone and outdoor seating, free or low-cost fitness classes, shared, low-cost printing and marketing resources, weekly potlucks and professional workshops to foster community, and special summer childcare provided by Black-Tie Babysitting. The childcare program is donation-based with a suggested minimum of $15 a day per child.
The Mix Coworking and Creative Space includes a fully featured theatrical stage, a large floor area with space to seat 150, a co-working lounge, dinner tables that seat 8-10 each, nooks for private and semi-private work areas, a fully equipped sewing lab, and soon will feature a large art studio.
Members are encouraged to follow sustainable practices and help maintain a clean work space, in keeping with the spirit of community activism. Besides the low-cost program provided on-site by Black-Tie Babysitting, children are welcome as occasional guests, which offers more flexibility to single or home-based parents. The provided resources and community connections are ideal for start-ups and creative home-based businesses.
The Mix has joined the co-working revolution to change how and where we work.
