Dallas Delivers Good Eats

Recently Neil Lemons from ILiveinDallas.com reviewed food delivery app, DoorDash, and gave the startup rave reviews. According to their website, DoorDash is “…a technology company that connects customers with local businesses. Through the DoorDash marketplace, people can purchase goods from local merchants and have them delivered in less than 45 minutes – thanks to our revolutionary logistics technology.” Lemons wrote that the app even showed delivery progress in real-time.

DoorDash is not alone, however. In terms of food delivery services – Dallas delivers. Last year Dmagazine.com rated the Favor and Caviar apps as some of the best food delivery options in Dallas.

Favor was listed as a favorite for restaurant food, but it delivers everything from dry cleaning to groceries. The Caviar app was touted as the best way to bring the high-class restaurant to your door, should you want to enjoy a prime filet without leaving the comfort of home.

Soon, Dallas start-up WhutzCookin will be able to bring you fare from local food trucks, personal chefs, and your favorite local ‘greasy spoon’. Launching in July, CEO Monica Lockett wants to save you from “pizza overload”, by offering more diverse and rich options for food delivery- all the way out to the suburbs.

Amazon PrimeNow is well-known name that delivers groceries in the Dallas area, but if speed is what you need, UberEATS claims to have the fastest delivery times, even bragging that if you choose a signature dish, “you’ll be eating in as little as 10 minutes.”

Postmates is another Dallas delivery service for the delectable. Their website credits their “revolutionary Urban Logistics platform” for connecting customers with local couriers. “We empower communities to shop local with no waiting, and empower businesses through our API to offer on-demand delivery without dealing with logistics,” they state.

Having dinner delivered to your door is certainly a treat, but sometimes a meal just isn’t complete without the perfect glass of wine…which is why LASH received a nod from both Dmagazine and Dallas Eater. LASH delivers everything from beer and liquor to mixers and bottle openers, and offers free delivery on orders over $35.

With so many options and easy apps for food and drink delivery in Dallas, all you need to bring to the table… is your appetite.
