2016 Innovate McKinney! Local Startup Competition is Gearing Up

McKinney Texas, to the north of Dallas and Fort Worth is often overlooked when it comes to startups located there, in the shadow of DFW.  The McKinney Chamber of Commerce and The Werx Foundation is hosting the 2016 Innovate McKinney! Local Startup Competition.

The free competition looks to find local startups that want to invest not just in their own future, but in the future of McKinney and the DFW region.  This is an outstanding opportunity to connect with resources that otherwise may be hard to obtain, and with the offer of prizes for the top three startups in this years’ competition there is a financial benefit to participation as well.

With more than 20 applicants for this years’ competition so far, there is still the chance to access the resources and opportunities that this event creates.  With FirstUnited, D’Fine, and AT&T acting as the award and innovate sponsors and the McKinney EDC, McKinney CDC, and Encore Wire acting as the startup sponsors there is a huge opportunity to not just take your startup to the next level but to have a positive impact on the McKinney community at large.
