February is for Lovers: Library Lovers Month

February is a special month. While the shortest, it packs in a lot of love and appreciation with the holidays and celebrations observed. A fairly unknown celebration of this month is the love of structures that mean so much to the communities they serve: libraries. They are meeting spaces, movie theaters, study hall, research center and so much more. Many now are adapting to the advanced technology that surrounds us. They have become coworking spaces, digital literacy centers and makerspaces. Here is a look at some libraries in North Texas that are helping us become more knowledgeable and technical.

  • Ateanna Uriri is a journalism major at UNT and currently an editorial intern for Launch DFW.
