Art, Fashion and Philanthropy in the City at Ignite DFW

by Marlene Den Bleyker

LaByron Thomas, Navy Veteran, Producer and Entrepreneur spoke at Ignite DFW 3 about some of the ways his company is giving back to the community through capturing philanthropic events and sharing them with supporters.

Beginning his career as a Navy man in Europe with the Naval communications department, Thomas helps produce video content for new recruits to understand what it’s like in the Navy. After leaving the Navy, he decided to go to Hollywood and embark on a career. However, the industry was not comparable to his life in the Navy so he moved back to Dallas to begin Texas Authentic Productions.

The company started with capturing people through photos, videos and interviews and then took on a more humanitarian role combining art and community. His company worked with organizations such as ArtLoveMagic, Dress for Success and Robots4Autism to showcase their work to supporters and give back.
