Does the fitness industry need its own platform? ChalkBucket Labs CEO says yes

by R. Danes

The sports and fitness industry suffers a similar problem as the restaurant industry. Many people who start these business have a passion be it for Pad Thai or spinning classes but lack the know-how to run a business successfully. Software developers are taking the confusion out of analytics and accounting for numerous businesses across all markets, and ChalkBucket Labs is poised to do just that for gyms and fitness clubs, said CEO and Cofounder, Steve Johnston.

ChalkBucket Labs is an all-in-one platform that brings together accounting, analytics, billing, CRM, and billing technologies that Johnston said are simple to use. It also offers a tool for personal trainers to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of their clients and tweak their regimens accordingly. “Our true differentiator,” explained Johnston at a recent Dallas New Tech.event, “comes with our marketplace. So we’ve enabled a marketplace that will allow us to offer specialized services and features…that will allow us to grow vertically within specific markets.”

ChalkBucket Labs originated as a CrossFit platform but developed to serve all sports and fitness markets.
