Are you a strong writer with a keen interest startup community events? Then we want to hear from you!
As Launch DFW grows to be at the forefront of startups, technology, and entrepreneurship across North Texas, we are focusing our efforts on strong content. Currently, we have a need for writers to cover events across the metroplex. These are recurring writing opportunities that require a dedicated contributor and have tight deadlines. Please see below for descriptions and instructions for next steps.
One Million Cups Recaps—1MC (Dallas & Fort Worth)
We are looking for people to cover One Million Cups in Dallas and Fort Worth. This requires you to attend One Million Cups weekly and write a recap of the event to be published the following day. This is a tight turnaround time and requires a dedicated writer who will be responsible for this content each week. Recaps should be around 500 words and provide a high-level overview of the event, the startups that presented and what to expect the next time. For an example, click here.
Note: These are two specific opportunities—one for 1MC Dallas and another for 1MC Fort Worth. We can accept more than one writer for each event so that the work is split between them.
Dallas New Tech
Dallas New Tech is a monthly event and we are looking for someone to write regular recaps of these events. This requires you to attend Dallas New Tech each month and write a recap of the event to be published in the following days that week. These posts are a bit more lengthy as there are more companies presenting at DNT than at 1MC.
Other event recaps
There are countless other events happening around the metroplex each month, many are recurring and others are one-time events. If you would like to attend these events on behalf of Launch DFW and are able to write informative and engaging recaps on assignment, please reach out to us via the instructions below.
