Stephanie Campos, Co-Founder & Publicist, Social Revolt Marketing

Hometown: Dallas, TX

Current Neighborhood: Reside in Medical District, office in Downtown Dallas.

Describe your typical day in one sentence: Organized, largely blissful, chaos.

What was your first job? My first paying job was as a writer/child-actor for Radio Disney in 7th grade.

Describe a “startup hustler” in 140 characters? A startup hustler is someone who has perfected the art of self-motivation. Someone who believes in a vision and follows it to fruition.

What’s your drink? La Croix. Every flavor.

Finish this sentence, “Dallas got it right when…” Everything? I could say with the revamp of the Arts District or the reimagining of Lower Greenville. This list is a long one for me. No city is perfect, but Dallas has done right by me.

What can Dallas do better? Make me the poster child. Too forward? In all seriousness, I have noticed in very recent history, that there are major marketing campaigns geared to diversify the perception of Dallas. It may take some time, but I trust that soon the world will view us as the eclectic place we are.

What can’t you live without? Good food. I wouldn’t be the person I am if I didn’t have a million happy-places to visit in Dallas—99.9% of which are restaurants.

The show you’ll catch me binge-watching is: House of Cards and Game of Thrones. I just love a good ruler.

What’s the best place to get coffee in Dallas? SO many. If I want people watching and crafted options I’ll head to Ascension. When I’m looking for quiet and amazing wifi State Street Coffee is where I can be found.

It’s been a great day. Where do you go to celebrate? Luck. Pastrami me!

Pandora, Spotify, or Songza? Spotify.

What motivates you? Topping myself. Also surrounding myself with people who are pushing themselves daily—like my partner, who has no off switch.

Tell us a random piece of trivia about yourself: I grew up an opera singer and sang with Celine Dion on her last touring concert ever, here in Dallas at Reunion Arena. #throwback
