New Coding Boot Camp Comes to Dallas

Dallas’ evolving need for technological talent has caught national attention and attracted new business to the city. To that end, Tech Talent South (TTS), a rapidly growing education startup, will be hosting their coding boot camp in Dallas next month. TTS offers eight-week code immersion courses that prepare startups and aspiring web developers alike with the coding and web development skills needed to succeed in Dallas’ thriving tech industry. The boot camp’s partnership with startup accelerator, Alto Amplio Academy, will provide further support for those launching ventures.

We are so excited to be offering our code immersion program in Dallas,” said Betsy Idilbi, TTS CoFounder. “There are tons of opportunities out there for entrepreneurs and startups in the area, and we’re so excited to help fuel local innovation and empower people with the technical skills they need to bring their ideas to life,” she added.

Ranked one of the top coding boot camps in the south by Course Report, and in the world by Switchup , TTS will launch its first Dallas cohort on May 11, 2015 at Alto 211 in the heart of downtown Dallas.

Part-time courses will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings with full-time courses taking place in the mornings Monday through Thursday.

“With Texas’ flourishing startup ecosystem, strong tech community and history of being a hub for business-based thinking, we knew this was the next place we wanted to set up shop,” said cofounder Richard Simms. “Dallas is one of those cities that’s constantly making moves. Our partners over at Alto 211 and Alto Amplio Academy are proof of the entrepreneurial spirit we’ve seen here.”

  • Highlights of the code immersion program include:
  • Ruby on Rails
  • Domain Modeling for databasebacked web applications
  • HTTP and “RESTful” design
  • JavaScript and AJAX
  • Understanding and utilizing APIs

Scholarships for the Dallas cohort are available. There are scholarships for women in tech, recent graduates, and all around rockstars so there’s no reason not to apply.

No prior coding experience is required and applications are currently open.
