Kickstart Monday: Scarab, the wearable device that analyzes the world around you

“We all do our best to steer clear of health threats. But what about the threats that we can’t see?”

Amulet Corporation has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its Scarab product. Scarab is a wearable device and app that collects data (LOTS OF DATA) about your environment and any potential threats like gases, electromagnetic waves, and radiation.

“Because we can’t see them, we don’t give them much thought. Now, with Scarab, you will be able to see, avoid and share information about dangerous areas with others in the Scarab community.”

Scarab is comprised of a processor that collates the sensors’ impressions – if any of the sensors detect abnormal readings, the Scarab app notifies users immediately.

The Scarab app will collects data over time and notifies users of any dangers in their environment, so that “avoiding potential high danger areas is now super simple.”

If you’re in love with data (I mean, who isn’t?), Scarab’s 16 sensors will provide you with the data you need better know the world around you.

Learn more about the device and app here. The Kickstarter campaign is nearly halfway funded and ends on February 19!
