Resolutions, Shmesolutions: How LAUNCH DFW can help you in 2015

If you’re like me, you’ve maybe thought about some resolutions for 2015, but you never really put them down on paper or announce them to the world. In fact, the idea of setting a goal for the year seems ridiculous and overdone, because things change and people change, and isn’t the whole “resolutions” thing just something made up by the weight loss industry, anyway?

But if you do want to set some new goals for next year, LAUNCH DFW is totally here to help.

Maybe you’re looking to volunteer more in the new year — we’ve got you covered! We’ll be sending out more details about our upcoming volunteer program in 2015, but can always use people for event registration volunteers, photographers, social media outreach, and other opportunities. Contact Rachel at rachel [at] to get in touch.

Or perhaps you want to network more in 2015? Check out our events calendar — our community submits their events to the LAUNCH calendar, so there are plenty of opportunities to meet people with your interests. And, of course, our Dallas New Tech event and Startup Happy Hours provide hours of connecting and plenty of refreshments.

Maybe you need some guidance with where you’re taking your business. Well, our community is just brimming with resources, and that includes the mentoring sessions that both the DEC and the Addison Treehouse provides to EVERYONE (not just their members) in the startup community. And, also noteworthy: LAUNCH DFW also provides mentoring hours through the DEC and Addison Treehouse, so sign up to chat with us!

Thinking about building something new in 2015? There are TONS of hackathons and startup events throughout the year, and if 2014 was any indication of how many opportunities will be available for developers, entrepreneurs, and coders, then 2015 is going to be OFF THE CHAIN.

Or maybe this is a little overwhelming — how do you even know what goals to set? How are you supposed to figure out where you’re at and which direction to head?

Don’t worry — there’s no need to panic.

There’s a whole community here — tons of like-minded people who are all figuring it out along the way. We’ve got plenty of coworking spaces if you need a place to work, accelerator programs to kickstart your ideas — just let us know what you need, and we’ll connect you.

Here’s to a brilliant 2015!
