D CEO Names Hubert Zajicek the Achievement in Healthcare Innovation Award Recipient

We’re thrilled to hear that Hubert Zajicek, Executive Director for Health Wildcatters, was selected as D CEO‘s Achievement in Healthcare Innovation Award recipient.

D CEO’s new Excellence in Healthcare Awards—produced in partnership with our online news site, D Healthcare Daily—honor industry executives, practitioners, innovators, researchers, and others who stand out in their fields. The inaugural program attracted more than 180 nominations,” reports Matt Goodman of D Magazine.

Hubert Zajicek was announced as the winner of the Achievement in Healthcare Innovation Award yesterday.

Health Wildcatters was founded in 2013, and its 12-week accelerator program gives healthcare startups the opportunity for mentoring, workshops and seed funding. Health Wildcatters makes an initial investment up to $30,000 in each startup and the program ends with a pitchday.

Before founding Health Wildcatters, Zajicek was managing director of medical technology at the North Texas Enterprise Center for Medical Technology (NTEC), where he reviewed and advised hundreds of startup companies. Before joining NTEC, he was on faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and his areas of research included Nephrology and Cell Biology. Zajicek is also an author.

We’re so glad to have Hubert as part of our Dallas startup family – congratulations again!
