Startup Weekend EDU is next month!

1 weekend. 54 hours. 60 seconds to pitch. Infinite possibilities.

How would you like to positively impact education in 54 hours with about 100 other likeminded folks? That’s what the Startup Weekend EDU has the possibility of accomplishing.

Backed by powerhouses like Google and Coca-Cola, SW:EDU is an amazing initiative that brings together a diverse group of passionate people to from on the spot teams and take a viable idea and morph it into a startup.

The weekend: Startup Weekend EDU ( November 21-23) hosted at The DEC begins with open-mic 60-second pitches on Friday night that result in the formation of small teams.

Teams spend Saturday and Sunday focusing on user research, customer development, validating their ideas and building prototypes with the help of experienced coaches from the education market. On Sunday, teams demo their education products and receive valuable feedback from a panel of expert judges.

Throughout the two days, while you are building your startup, you will have access to technical, creative, marketing, and education coaches to help you along. The winning teams will have a chance to enter their startup into the Global Startup Battle with a chance of winning some ridiculously awesome prizes: like an NYC trip and ringing the bell at NASDAQ.

Do you want to transform the education landscape in Dallas ? Maybe Texas ? Maybe even impact the lives of children globally? Then come join SW:EDU. I guarantee you will meet some amazing people, work on a cool product and have a fantastic weekend.
