Kickstart Monday: Pump Up West Dallas

Most of the Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns that we’ve featured are tech-related, so this week’s project is a little bit different – but it’s for a great cause that we’re excited to hear about.

Pump Up West Dallas is a campaign to install bicycle repair stations in the West Dallas and Oak Cliff areas.

With the increase of bicycle travel in our fair city, the need for stations like this will also rise.

Each Dero Fixit station will:

  • provide all of the tools needed for basic bike repairs and maintenance.
  • feature the “built-like-a-tank” Air Kit 3 bike pump with pressure gauge.
  • include a pump stop that holds bikes upright while tires are filled with air.

“Since the 2014 opening of the Trinity Skyline Trail, bicyclists are crossing Dallas’ Trinity River and using West Dallas and Oak Cliff thoroughfares like never before,” states the campaign site.

Check out the campaign and contribute to safer bicycle travel in Dallas!
