Dallas Named One of the Top in Tech

Dallas ranked third in the nation in a recent report from JLL on the state of technology-related jobs. Steve Brown with the Dallas Morning News reported that “only California’s Silicon Valley and the Boston area have more high-tech workers” than the Dallas area.

“Continued high-tech growth is forecast due to Dallas’ low cost of doing business, aggressive company recruiting efforts, low cost of living compared to many high-tech markets, and high quality of life,” according to the recent report.

With the ever-growing number of hackathons, incubator programs, and meetups going on in the area (and that’s just in our startup community), it’s guaranteed that those numbers will rise in the coming years. There will also be an increasing need to support the companies that are frequently relocating to the Dallas area, which means even more of the high-tech jobs that the JLL study reported on.
