Addison Welcomes Big (D)esign Conference

The Town of Addison will be hosting the Big (D)esign Conference September 4-6.

“Big (D)esign is a tremendous asset to have here in our community to further fuel ‘creative class activity’ as a business sector,” said Orlando Campos, Addison’s Director of Economic Development. The conference will be at Addison’s Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Big (D)esign is an annual conference that hosts “the top creators, makers and doers from the world of technology and user experience.” The weekend will include workshops, speakers, and all kinds of networking opportunity for designers, content strategists, developers, and entrepreneurs.

“About 1,000 of your closest friends from across the country and around the world will gather to present theories and share research, experiences, and best practices with students, professionals, and executives looking to stay on the bleeding edge. This conference is a great place to make new connections,” reports the conference website.

There are also two special pre-conference events, planned by the city:

  • Free Resume Writing Workshop, hosted at Addison TreeHouse – Thursday, September 4, 3-6 PM
  • VIP Opening Reception, The Gallery at Visit Addison, located in the Village on the Parkway facing Montfort Road, with opening remarks by Addison Mayor Todd Meier and Bottle Rocket CEO Calvin Carter – Thursday, September 3, 7 PM
