Mavizon: Driving Dallas Ahead in the Internet of Things

Recently, Dallas-based company, Mavizon, was recognized by Silicon Valley Bank for their innovations in car technology. Mavizon is selected to attend SVB’s Automotive Innovation – “The Future of the Car” event on July 30.

“It’s still kind of the wild west out there, when it comes to car connectivity,” says Joe Tegerdine, Vice President at Mavizon. “There’s not one company that has it all figured out.”

Of course, being named one of the 10 Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company in 2011 and being selected by SVB’s Corporate Venture Capital Team for the “Future of the Car” event suggests they have quite of bit of that market figured out.

Mavizon is a “connected vehicle solution,” meaning they design and support the connected device platforms and the apps that integrate with them. “I think what makes us competitive is that we’ve built the platform, and focus on solutions around that,” says Joe.

“There are 14 million teen drivers on the road every day, and we want to help them become safe drivers,” said Joe.

The Parenteen system allows parents to review their teen driver’s activity, from anywhere in the world. “With Parenteen, parents become virtual co-pilots who can guide their children to becoming good, confident drivers.”

Mavizon will have the opportunity to showcase their Parenteen technology to industry leaders in a real-time environment at the event on July 30.
