Kickstart Monday: The Tomorrow Techies

There is a persistent and growing need for coding programs for kids — not just in the North Texas area, but everywhere.

This week’s Kickstart Monday is about the Tomorrow Techies — a project geared towards students in grades 6-12 who are interested in learning more about coding.  The program will begin this fall, with workshops that guide students through learning HTML and CSS, using WordPress, Javascript and more.

The future is in STEM careers, and by fostering an early interest in technology, students can build upon what we’ve shown them and hopefully enter lucrative careers in tech.”

Check out the campaign’s Indiegogo page — there are opportunities to give towards scholarships or to have a Tomorrow Techies instructor teach a workshop wherever you choose.
