Recharge at the Bar, with Your Beer and a Ubidock

How many times have you been at the bar or an event, only to realize that your phone’s battery is about to die? That can certainly put a damper on any plans that you might’ve had.

Well, now you won’t need to change your plans – and you can finish that beer (or two) and the game, without worrying about your phone dying.

Meet Ubidock, a wire-free phone charging solution for venues.

“I’d been in too many situations where I had to stand in the corner, with my phone plugged in and charging, just so I could finish whatever I was doing,” says co-founder, Aaron Florez. He and his friend, Izzy DiChiara, set about to find a solution, and they founded Ubidock.

“We’re targeting restaurants, bars, events — anyone looking to keep their customers happy and coming back,” says DiChiara. And customers are happy, because they can go to that concert and tweet all they want about it, without fretting over how they’ll charge up again. And you don’t have to hand your phone over to anyone or stand near a wall outlet with your phone — Ubidock is extra convenient because it’s completely wire-free.

Ubidock has been featured at the Dallas Observer St. Patty Day Concert, Suburbia Music Fest, and Inc Magazine GrowCo. Ubidock is also in several restaurants, including Rio Mambo, Ocean Prime, and Hooters.

You can find out more information (for your establishment or next big event) on the Ubidock website.

“We’re looking forward to providing this solution to businesses, conference planners, restaurants, pubs — anyone that doesn’t want to worry about their patrons leaving just because of a dead phone,” says Florez.
