Dallas Ventures to Vancouver for GROW Conference 2013

grow conference

For one very short week, Tech Wildcatters, in collaboration with The Dallas Entrepreneur Center and Startup Texas, held a contest for DFW startups. Three lucky startups would receive tickets to attend the GROW Conference in Vancouver this August! GROW provides a platform for entrepreneurs from across the world to network and learn with prominent investors, corporations, and innovators. Realizing that it was an amazing opportunity for Dallas to represent, they sought out the finest startups within the DFW to do us proud.

Not only did the winners receive free tickets to GROW, but because American Airlines supports startup business travel, they also received free airfare to and from the event, provided by Tech Wildcatters and Startup Texas!

There was an amazing amount of talented applicants. Yet, after much deliberation, the judging delegates selected these three innovative and experienced companies: Haul, Bookshout, and Atticous.

Attico.us, a graduate of the Tech Wildcatters program, assists those wanting to easily create websites utilizing existing content from various platform services.

HAUL, co-founded by serial entrepreneur, Alexander Muse, is a global provider of targeted online video solutions for hauler communities and online advertisers.

BookShout promotes social reading and the discovery of new books. Just recently, BookShout raised $6 million in its second funding round.

The winners were announced last night at the Digital Dumbo – Digital Dallas Launch Party. It’s going to be exciting to see how the winners participate at the conference and how all of the incredible concepts from each applicant play out within the DFW startup community.

If you are interested in attending the GROW Conference, make sure to buy a ticket! It is an amazing opportunity to listen to and engage with some of the best entrepreneurs from around the world. Register here http://growconf.eventbrite.com.
