TechWildcatters Pitch Day Reigns as Another Success

Lower Greenville Avenue is still buzzing as the third annual Techwildcatters Pitch Day comes to a close.

Eleven startups, recently graduated from the Tech Wildcatters highly selective program, divvied out their business plans and structures to an audience of friends, fellow entrepreneurs, investors, and the start up community. The event was held and co-sponsored by the Granada Theater on Greenville Avenue followed by a networking happy hour next door at Sundown.

Throughout the 12-week, mentor-ship driven “entrepreneurial bootcamp,” these eleven start ups had access to advice from seasoned entrepreneurs as well as exposure to potential investment opportunities. They received up to $25,000 in seed investments with opportunities to gain ten times that amount in convertible notes.

Among these eleven companies were 501 Fund, CrowdFeed, GroupRaise, HedgeChatter, KlickPush, ScribeSense, Secure PressID, SmokePhone, SocialGlimpz, Voncierge, and Talentize. A brief introduction to each of these companies can be found in the TechWildcatters portfolio.

TechWildcatters focuses mostly on B2B and B2B2C technology.  Due to their success, the “Wildcatters” brand will expand into health-tech with the new Health Wildcatters. Tech Wildcatters will also participate in a national exchange program with other accelerator programs from across the country.
