Mark Cuban Gets Another Exit as Revision3 Sells to Discovery

Dallas Mavericks owner and prolific tech investor Mark Cuban can put another notch in his belt.

Web television network Revision3 just sold to Discovery Communications (parent of the Discovery Channel) for $30 million. Cuban had invested an undisclosed amount in the company in 2010.

The investment was interesting to the tech community because Cuban had spoken out against the expectations of web video and that it never really would replace traditional TV.

According to a piece in AllThingsD, the investment didn’t represent a change in tune, but rather that he was simply investing in potential content for his tv network, HDnet.

In any case, hopefully Mark made a decent return on his investment… and Mark, if you’re reading, we’d love to get you more involved in the Dallas startup community!
