Dallas Native Launches Recapp to Keep You Up to Date On Sports

David Chen, a Dallas-born and now NYC-based entrepreneur, founded RECAPP Inc to help sports fans like himself follow their favorite teams from across the country.

While he was born and raised in Dallas, Chen has lived in other parts of the country as well and wanted to be able to stay up to date on other teams. “Since I was a kid, I’ve followed the Cowboys, Rangers, and Mavericks. But I’ve also lived in Portland and New York so the app has been really useful in helping me stay up to date on the Blazers and Knicks,” says Chen. He added that “the app will be especially useful for people that follow teams around the country.”

RECAPP is a mobile application that allows you to create a tailored news feed experience in a slick mobile interface. After downloading the app, I was able to quickly add my own favorite teams (Dallas Stars, Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Portland Trailblazers, Portland Timbers) and check out the latest news.

The app works by polling thousands of curated feeds and organizing each feed by the team or sport it focuses on. For example, a RECAPP user following the Texas Rangers would receive a constant feed of Rangers-related news from sources including the ESPN Dallas, Dallas Morning News, Star-Telegram, Texas Rangers, and more.

RECAPP is currently available as a free download for iPhone from the app store.
